I am now rolling on a loop of illustration themes to explore new illustration ideas and scenes. One of them being simply ‘something Mauritian’ having lived here for 6 years now, I know how much it has to offer creative wise, endemic plants and animals, bright colors, and a variety of cultures and religions and , great food! Being a foodie dhal puri was the first thing I got excited about when my mum mentioned we were moving to Mauritius for a year (the year was seriously extended) having struggled to be vegetarian in England at school I thought eating just dhal puri was a perfect solution! Haha seems silly but it was a big seller to persuade me to move here. Also try and keep your eye out for theses cute orange Beatles in Mauritius I have no idea what they are but they group together and travel like ants. Comment if you know what they are called?
